I bought this boat about 8 years ago and power it with an 8 Hp Honda Outboard. With 2 adults this is enough to get it on the plane and zip over the water. With 3 adults it is not, so it goes much much slower. I have used this on ponds and in the open ocean up to 2 miles from shore with no issue. After using on salt water I always rinse it off with a hose. I store it inside my garage on a boat trailer that I modified with a plywood deck curved to match the shape of the hull. As it is out of the sun the vinyl is still good and has never leaked or needed to be patched. The oar locks are a bit light duty and one broke (I fixed it with SS wire and epoxy) and the zipper for the cargo bag under the seat finally failed so I tie it shut. Overall I would say that I am pleased with this boat but ready to move to the next level - say a 14ft with say 15 Hp.

Was a happy sailer for 2 years

This boat has space for 2 or 3 going fishing, great rowing boat but it's heavy, the vynl is not the best, the oars will break from any 1 heavy pull. I have had 2 of them, 1st last 2years and was stolen. At that time I liked it enough I bought 2nd boat but at 2years I had all kinds of leaks. Basically it won't last more than a few years and it will be in the dump.

I was pretty excited to purchase this boat. when I started putting it together I noticed that it was very difficult to get the floor together. when I attempted to fill the first air port, I broke the plastic air gauge prongs. I am now searching for a replacement piece rather than just returning the whole thing but unsuccessful...may fab up a steel replacement

Perfect Boat for Fishing

Purchased this boat may or june 2009 used it for the summer fishing in alberta and made it to bc a couple of times. Great boat, tons of room to move around, can stand up with aluminum floor, have a electric 55p thurst motor for it and you move pretty quick. If purchased gas power motor you would fly. 3 guys with fishing gear is perfect everyone has there own space. 4 or 5 people can fit if you want to go for a cruise. Tons of fun. Have had tons of people compliment on it while at the gas station to the lakes. Deflates which is great if you dont have the space for a trailer. Once floor is in takes a less then 5 mins before your on the water. 2 people is a must to move boat

Good Quality for the price

I must say I have scene this boat at our local marina and for the price, it looks very nice. We have a hard bottom Avon that was 5299.99 plus tax, for the price we paid we could have had 4 of these. I noticed the workmanship is not as good again however with this price you can not beat! Will see how they hold up in the long term.

R : Usually you will need to transport the boat with a car, truck or trailer. As the boat is heavy and no carry bag is included with the boat. It CANNOT be attached to the roof racks of an SUV.
