Lifetime Warranty!

I purchased the MR77 over 5 years ago and it worked just as it was supposed to. Took care of the tool and it took care of me.
Unfortunately it stopped working, was not able to pop the rivet anymore.
Called the 800 for warranty and spoke with Mateo who listened to the problem and acknowledged the product warranty.
My new riveter arrived today new model MR77C.
I hope it lasts me another 5 years.

Poor quality and poor product control!

The first one I bought, I had to return it because it only severed the nail of the rivet about 50 percent of the time. The second one included the wrong size nose pieces. Made in China , just a piece of junk! Get an Arrow rivet gun. Not the quality of a Stanley tool that I knew before!

Great riveter!

Nice, heavy duty tool. I got mine because I needed a pop rivet tool that would handle the 3/32" (2mm) trim stud rivets so I could install trim / molding on a '68 El Camino that I'm restoring. The packaging that it came in was a real irritation. It's the very heavy plastic that's molded around the tool and the only way that one can get the tool out is to destroy the packaging with a box knife. And, once you have the tool there is no way to attach the nose piece tool to the rivet gun. It would have been nice if Stanley had constructed one of the rubber grips to hold the tool, like my old, very cheap rivet gun does. I bought a padded plastic 12 x 8 x 4 tool box to hold the rivet gun.

Promising with problems

I bought this tool because the packaging stated the tool would handle 3/16 steel pop rivets. Out of the package I had 2 problems. 1) Not assembled fully and had to screw the head on to the mechanism. 2) The wrench for changing the nose pieces was missing. Should have brought it back but it was the only one in the store.
Also this tool struggles to install steel 3/16 rivets.
