It’s very nice until the spring breaks

Spring broke after a couple years so it’s past the warranty and there’s no way to replace it. I can’t open the top now.

Perfect for a small kitchen

I have a tiny kitchen, so this stackable garbage can makes a lot of sense. Both the top and bottom sections are large enough that I have a garbage can and recycle bin that fit my needs. So far the opening mechanisms on both cans are working nicely. A very good product. I highly recommend it!

Nice design, flawed construction

This double garbage can looks great and fits perfectly where we intended it to go. At first, it was excellent. Unfortunately, it has not lasted long. If you mistakenly put the bottom unit back in with both handles on the same side, it is difficult to re-open. The open/close button on the top unit is the weak link. Sometimes it got jammed so the top garbage can could not be opened, or could not be closed. For a long time, it has been uncloseable, so we keep a heavy object on top of it to keep it closed, and have to remove the object every time we want to use the garbage can. I wish whoever designed it had properly tested it to develop a stronger button that was capable of functioning.

Very compact garbage can, I really like it!

I bought this garbage can today and took it out of the box. It is very nice I love how slim it is and compact it fits so nicely in such a little area. The only thing that I found wrong with it is they advertise that to use the bottom can you step on the foot pedal and then release and it closes by itself...well mine didn't. I didn't have a bag in it or anything yet. I'm going to call the company and see if they will do anything about it.

Q : Is the bottom bin supposed to automatically close? The instructions included say the bottom bin should close when you take your foot off the pedal. I just bought this yesterday and the bottom doesn't close. I have to push it shut. Is this a defect?

R : It might be stuck by the inside small part. Please pull the bottom bin out horizontally and reinstall the bottom bin again, then it will be ok.

Q : What happens when the spring breaks on the top where the garbage goes? Can it be replaced? We bought this over 1 1/2 years ago. Can the spring be replaced by the company without us having to buy a new garbage can as it seems like a waste for us to have to buy another one.
