Shouldn't be selling this product if they cant program it. None of the stores near me have the programer. I am very disappointed with this.

Use this with SmartStart - Great Product

Follow the instructions... use this with the Smart Start Module also available and you will have an Iphone enabled Remote Starter at a very reasonable price. This is the same one that Viper, Python and CommandStart use.
However, dont think that you can unpack this out of the box and plug it in and it will work. You need a bit of electrical skill and do your research on the internet, download the installation manual and download the wiring diagram for your car.

R : Canadian Tire DOES NOT sell the CHTHD1 cable! At least in any of the GTA, Woodstock or London locations. I had to purchase the harness online and to make matters worse, Canadian Tire farms out the install to a smaller company, so they (CT) does not have the capability to actually flash this interface with the correct firmware to work.

Q : which stores are able to install remote starter? I live in Mississauga. I purchased a Prostart remote starter but this store does not do installation and do not know which one does. Very sad.

R : It takes very specialized training to install a remote starter. We would highly recommend contacting your local Canadian Tire Auto Centre for installation.

R : Yes it will BUT needs to be flashed with MA2 firmware. You can always use the 34-0766 PKALL that doesn’t require any firmware flash.

R : Ce module doit avoir firmware flashé à elle pour que cela fonctionne dans votre véhicule. Cela devrait être fait par le magasin Canadian Tire où vous avez acheté le module.

R : Yes, this is the module you need. It will have to be flashed with GM2 firmware for it to work on your vehicle. This module fits all of current Prostart remote starters in Data to Data mode or in older Prostart without a D2D port by being hooked up in Wire to Wire.

R : This module needs to have firmware flashed to it for it to work in your vehicle. This should be done by the Canadian Tire Store where you have bought the module.
