I got this safe first, then a larger one for rifles,. They fit together and look great. Fits all ammo and a few handguns.

Q : @ super440, How well did it fit the 14 gun cab. It doesn't look as if it's worth the $ 100.00 but I was just curious as to how well it fits the top.of the 14 gun. It sounds as if it was intended to top off the 8 & 10 gun stack on's. Is this correct ?

Q : Is this available in black, like the 10 gun cabinet? I recently picked up the black 10 gun Stack On cabinet that goes with this pistol cabinet, Canadian Tire does stock both green and black for that one.

R : We had a recent update to the Canadian Tire cabinet selection. So the accessory cabinet should be in BLACK as well. There may be some inventory in the stores with Green (as it sometimes take time to move through) I did notice that the website shows the green ones (we are sending a request today to have them updated). The manufactures number is GCAB-500-CP (which is the BLACK one). Hope that helps!

R : Thanks for your interest and question for this Stack-on item. Much depends upon the size of the firearm. Please keep in mind that because this is a cabinet and not a safe that the handguns must also be locked inside the cabinet as well (this is a Canadian Federal Law). Certainly you would be able to get at least 4 handguns comfortably inside (two on the bottom and two on the shelf). You may also be able to lay them sideways and double up providing you protect them from scratching.

R : Yes, this complies with the law with regards to the storage law. But for a restricted item such as a pistol, the consumer must also attach another locking device as well as being in the cabinet. This is not considered a “vault” or “safe” it is a cabinet. From the RCMP documentation regarding: Restricted and prohibited firearms: Attach a secure locking device so the firearms cannot be fired and lock them in a cabinet, container or room that is difficult to break into; or Lock the firearms in a vault, safe or room that was built or modified specifically to store firearms safely. For automatic firearms, also remove the bolts or bolt carriers (if removable) and lock them in a separate room that is difficult to break into.
