Britax Marathon ClickTight siège auto adjustable

I did extensive research before I bought the clicktiggt marathon car seat. My kids ride rear facing for as long S I can make them. The cover on the most rear part continually comes off and is really annoying but it might have saved my child has we had we gotten in a wreck while he was in this car seat. We noticed a screw on our weather tech floor mats but couldn't identify where it came from because my husband sells car parts and it could have belonged to any number of hardware. The other day we got the car seat out to clean it and the frame was wobbly. I saw that a screw was missing and the matching screw on the opposite side was loose. I was able to find the screw and put it back in for temporary safety fix until I can replace the seat with a brand that will hopefully be better than this. Pretty disappointed with the safety I had expected being a false sense of security. I would hate to know what would have happened if we wrecked and my son would have been in this car seat.

A little tricky to install the first time. Once installed rear facing (the only way I have tried so far), using the anchors at the base of the seat, it is very difficult to remove as loosening the strap by pushing the gray release button on the buckle on the right side of the seat to get some slack on the straps is quite hard especially if you install the seat on the passenger side of the rear seat and you are on that side of the car and have to reach over the seat. So far, the only way I can get slack is to go over to the driver's side of the rear seat and even then it is quite challenging. Then, of course I have to either drag it across the rear seat (as long as there is nothing on the seat, like packages, people, etc.) or go back around to the passenger side. Another issue with the rear facing position and using the seat anchors is it is very difficult to get your hand between the back of the rear seat and the front of the car seat to adjust the tilt. Otherwise, so far, it is a good car seat. I will be changing to the front facing position in a few months and will see how that goes.

I bought this car seat in March of 2021 and after 1 year and 2 months of use I noticed that the hip belt strap is fraying on both sides. One side is hanging on by a thread. Clearly this started during the 1 year warranty period but Britax will not replace the harness under warranty. This is so bad I cannot use the car seat at all and this car seat is supposed to last 10 years????

The install is my favorite part about it! It’s so easy to click in and so secure! It doesn’t budge at all, putting my mind at peace. The look and feel of the car seat is so slick and nice. It’s easy to clean, wipe off and maintain. I don’t know if it’s because it’s so new and stiff still, but it is hard to adjust the safety straps and get them tight enough. Also the strap tension release button is a little too far inset, especially for my husband who has bigger fingers. We’re hoping as we use it more the straps will get more “broke in” and easier to adjust. Overall a great quality, safe car seat and very happy with it. Just hoping it gets easier to adjust as time goes on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my car seat I loved that it came in an easily accessible box. I didn’t have to break the box or lift the car seat to get it out. I loved the back and grey color scheme that I received. The material is soft and the cushion is comfortable for my 3.5 year old. After reviewing the manual and a quick video on YouTube I was able to figure out how to install the car seat. It was a lot simpler than I thought. Pull out the latch belt, Twist the click tight button to lift the compartment, thread it through, buckle and tighten. My only drawback when installing was you have to be careful not to pull it too taut that it’s creates tension to the point that you can’t close the click right compartment. Once it’s closed the car seat was super secure. It didn’t move at all. My son sat in his new car seat and was pleased with how comfortable it was. He was very excited to be in a new seat. He buckles himself in and I tighten the seatbelt every time. It was easy for him to buckle without me having to intervene. I am not a fan of the impact absorbing chest pads although I do appreciate them. I just feel like they are in the way and I have to adjust them every time he gets into his seat. I can’t vouch for the cool flow and dual comfort fabrics as I live in the northeast and have not experience the heat yet but hopefully it’ll come on handy in the summer. For now, it’ll stay in my vehicle as our permanent Car seat. I was gifted this convertible Car seat to try as a part of the Stellar product Testing Panel
