Be careful when buying this boat

I bought this boat although the one I have is creme with green trim, being told that I could mount a trolling motor. This is not the case and I was left with no options after discussing the issue at the store where I bought it. If you wish to mount a motor take the care to inspect the boat that you have and ensure that the 4 rings to which a mount will attach are actually on the boat

Pretty decent, heavier gauge than cheap toys, I think it can take mini-kota

voyager 500-four years and counting

We bought this boat for a family of 2 adults (140 lbs each) and one teenager (110 lbs).It was comfortable, but lately we have used it for the two of us while our daughter was kayaking beside us.
We have used it every year for our camping trips; never had any problems with it and thanks to this little boat we could explore many hidden lakes .I don;t recommand on windy weather, but for a light breeze it works fine. We bought an anchor (canadian tire also) and could enjoy a quiet place along the river/lake if we wanted.
It is easy to inflate with a pump and does not take up a lot of space when deflated. During the winter we keep it in the original box. Make sure it is perfectly dry when you put it away for the winter.
It fits well on top of our cargo box (bottom up)for short trips inside the provincial parks. Not to be used in shallow waters or in rapids.
It is definitely worth the money; a very good buy.

CE bateau, m'a duré 4 ans. C'est assé facile a perforer. Vraiment platte quand ca t'arrive sur le lac.

R : oui on peut mettre maximum 1.5hp a essence ou un petit moteur electrique et ca fonctionne tres bien.Il suffit de se faire un support a moteur ou de l acheter il se vent sur certain site.moi j ai acheter un support pour les bateaux gonflable intex et je l'ai ralonger. il se vend dans certain canadian tire.tres bon bateaux.Ca amuse beaucoup les enfants.

Q : Which pump do u recommend for inflating the floor? Ive tried using an electric pump to fill it but does not inflate all the way, then tried finishing with a foot pump but with the fitting being so small the pump is so stiff that you can barely push air out of it.

R : We use a coleman water resistant quickpump, 12 V,bought from canadian tire. It comes with a boat adaptor. We inflate all three sections of the boat with it and also deflate it at the end (it works both ways, which is a great time saver).

R : Maximum Weight Capacity: 225kg (495 pounds) Passenger Capacity: 2 Adults + 2 Children or 3 Adults I'm not sure the weight of the boat, but one adult carries it fairly easily.

R : Thank you for your interest in the Voyager 500 Boat. Never use high pressure to inflate inflatables. This can damage your boat and void your warranty. Inflate the air chambers with a HAND air pump. An inflation scale is provided, inflate until the printed scale is charged up to the same level as that of the supplied scale. (refer the table and illustrations provided in the instruction manual) Caution: Under and over-inflation of the boat will result in safety hazards.
