Works well in a shed
il y a 5 ans
Wilson Predator Mouse Killer works really well and quickly. We used it in the shed and within days there was no sign of the mice. The pellets disappeared within hours. We put a second lot down and it disappeared. The third little bag is still in the shed and we have no sign of the mice. Worked really well and quickly but a wee bit expensive.
Works better than any other product to help you get rid of your rodent & pests issues for d.i.y. Products that happen to be available to the public for us to use instead of paying a professional thousands to use there pesticides instead.
Je déteste ce produit il colle au doigt et pogne pas les souris

Rodents No More
il y a 6 ans
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Pellets are a very effective way to control mice around the farm, especially with fall in the wind & mice are looking to move indoors. Using existing Wilson bait stations, the product did the job.
R : A Squirrels Digestive system is every bit similar, and is considered a Rodent too.
Yes! it will kill Squirrels! Squirrels will Learn Quickly to return to the same food source.
R : Hello Ken G,
The Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Killer is formulated using cellulose from powdered corn. The way it works is that brings about dehydration, ultimately resulting in death by interfering with the rodents digestive system. There is NO POISON or anti coagulant involved with this product.
When consumed, it disrupts the rodent's ability to absorb water, thus causing dehydration, even if additional water is ingested, but it is essential that all other food sources be removed, and the bait be replenished daily, or as often as required. It is best to place the bait out unopened, and kept dry in areas where you are finding their droppings, along their trails, or in their hiding places, and check on it daily.
Due to the unique way that rodents' process food, it is vital that it be used indoors only , and be the sole food source for approximately 3 to 5 days.
We are not sure by what you mean by spoiled. Did it get wet and subsequently moldy? If that was the case then it would make it less appealing to the rodent but would not change the effectiveness of the corn cellulose.
Thank you
R : Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Killer with the active ingredient of Cellulose from Powdered Corn disrupts the rodent's ability to absorb water, thus causing dehydration and ultimately death. But it is essential for mouse control that it be the sole food source for a period of 3 to 5 days, up to 8 for rats. If they eat anything else it will not work, therefore provide non-target animal is not feeding exclusively on the bait, it should not affect them adversely.
Q : RE Predator Mouse and Rat Killer
How long will it take for the mice to die once they have consumed the pellets? What happens if a cat eats a poisoned mouse?
Thanks

Simply place the bait out unopened, in tamper-proof bait stations, in areas where you are finding their droppings, along their trails, or in their hiding places, and check on it daily. If they finish all of this bait over night, double the amount the next night. Keep increasing the amount until you have some left over in the morning. This will ensure that there is sufficient bait to go around to all of the rodents. If they do not eat it, it will not work. When used as directed death will occur within 4 to 7 days of intitial feeding.
In areas where you cannot prevent access to another food source we recommend using Wilson Warfarin Re-usable Bait Station Kit (059-1964-2), or Wilson Predator Mouse Bait Station Kit (059-1962-6), neither are dependent on being the sole food source.

It disrupts the rodent's ability to absorb water, thus causing dehydration, even if additional water is ingested, but to other animals and children, provided they do not ingest large quanties of the actual bait, it should pose not risk.
Q : Using Wilson Wilsarin
I would like to use this product in my shed. I noticed the box I bought has small bags with pellets in them. Do I just place the small bags unopened inside the shed?

Q : What happens when the mice die?
Using the Wilson Wilsarin Rat and Mouse Pellets for 2 weeks. Noticed a dead mouse. Should I be worried of the mice dying behind walls etc and stinking?

Due to the unique way that rodents' process food, it disrupts the rodent's ability to absorb water, thus causing dehydration, even if additional water is ingested. Q : Is there an expiration date for Wisarin pellets?
We have a box of wilsarin pellets boughr last year. We used the pellets very successfully on house mice.
But this year the mice devour it and come back for more. So perhaps the product has lost its potency?
R : Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Killer does not have an expiry, as long as it is stored correctly in a cool dry location, away from moisture and excessive heat. It may seem difficult to kill rodents with baits because their feeding habits reflect there scavenger eating habits. They will eat a small amount of something and wait to see if they will get sick, if they don’t get sick then they continue to feed. This means that baits must be slow working. Also due to new Federal regulations that will go into place as of as of December 31, 2013, for domestic class anti-coagulant type rodenticides, we presently have two different active ingredients under the Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Pellets label.
The original active ingredient is Bromadiolone (059-3616-0), which is a single-feed bait. It is an anticoagulants that leads to the disruption of the vitamin K1 cycle, resulting in the inability to produce the essential blood-clotting factors, where death occurs after 1 - 2 weeks post ingestion of the bait. It work on a body weight to bait weight ratio where the rodent must ingest one meal equaling 1/4 to 1/3 of their own body weight. Once a lethal dose has been ingested, it takes 4-5 days for the anticoagulant disruption to begin and they should be dead in 12-14 days. If you are not putting out enough bait or if the bait is being taken and stored the results will be less than ideal. If the rodent droppings have changed to the same colour as the bait then it is a clear indication that the process has begun.
The new active ingredient is formulated from Corn Cellulose (059-935-2), quickly brings about dehydration causing a decrease in blood volume and blood pressure, tissue decay and circulation arrest, ultimately resulting in death. Due to the unique way that rodents' process food, it disrupts with the rodent's ability to absorb water, thus causing dehydration, even if additional water is ingested. It is vital that it be used indoors only and be the sole food source for approximately 6 to 8 days for mice, therefore all other food sources must be removed, and the bait should be replenished daily, or as often as required. Place the bait out unopened, in tamper-proof bait stations, in areas where you are finding their droppings, along their trails, or in their hiding places, and check on it daily. If they finish all of this bait over night double the amount the next night. Keep increasing the amount until you have some left over in the morning. The reason for this is to ensure that there is enough bait to go around to all of the rodents. If they do not eat it, they will not die.
R : When using Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Bait Pellets, the individual bait packages do not require opening. After placing the bait in tamper-resistant bait station wherever simply put it wherever you are finding their droppings or along their trails. The rodent will open the bait bags.
R : Wilson Wilsarin Rat & Mouse Bait Pellets will achieve control if sufficient bait stations are used to supply the rodent population. Bait should be place into tamper-resistant bait stations (eg 59-3605 Wilson Predator Mouse Bait Station) and into protected areas that are inaccessible to children, pets, or domestic animals and wildlife. Place feeding stations in locations frequented by rodents: near holes, runways, burrows or against walls, or in corners where rodents are seen. Replenish bait stations as needed to ensure a continuous supply of fresh bait until lack of feeding is noted. A shallow container of drinking water encourages consumption of the bait.
