This programmable thermostat works perfectly for my home. I don't have a "C" type wire (constant power) so it took 3 purchases before I found one that didn't require this as it is not identified on the outside of the packaging.

Doesn't hold programmed setting overnight.

Find it very aggravating that my programming for night time keeps flipping back to daytime programming, so that the furnace keeps running during the night. I have even tried to set a temporary hold before going to bed to hold it and that doesn't work either. Don't like waking up at 4 in the morning being too hot because the furnace is already running at morning temp setting.

Hi mgmf, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The temporary hold will override your schedule until the next period starts. The next period may be starting earlier because of the Adaptive Recovery feature that starts the system before scheduled so the setpoint is reached already by the desired time. You can disable the Adaptive Recovery feature and/or set a permanent hold. To disable Adaptive Recovery please press and hold 'Menu' and '+' buttons at the same time until you see "ISU" on the screen and then press 'Select'. You will see number 120 on the top of the screen and a big number at the center of the screen. Press 'Select' until you see number 425 on the top of the screen. Press the '-' button to change the big number to 0 (you should see 425 and 0), press 'Select' and then 'Home'. Our Support Center link at the top of the page has all the ways you can get in contact with us to discuss where the issue may be.

R : According to the manual, there are three possible fan settings: 1. Auto - runs only when the cooling or heating system is on 2. ON - always on 3. Circ (RTH7500 series only) - runs randomly about 33% of the time I keep mine on Auto, so I can't comment on the efficacy of Circ mode.

R : Hi there. Please follow these instructions to adjust program schedules: 1) Press Menu on your thermostat. 2) PROG is displayed. Press Select. Then ON is displayed. Press Select. 3) Press + or - to select a day or set of days to edit. Press Select. 4) Press + or - to select a schedule period to edit (Wake, Away, Home, and Sleep). Press Select. 5) ON is displayed. Press Select to keep the schedule period on. Or press + and then Select to turn off the schedule period. 6) Time starts blinking. Press + or - to adjust the schedule period start time. Press Select. 7) Temperature starts blinking. Press + or - to adjust the “Heat” setpoint temperature. Press Select. Press + or - to adjust the “Cool” temperature setpoint. Press Select. 8) Repeat steps 4 through 7 for the remaining schedule periods. 9) Press Home when you’re finished to save the program setting. R : Hello Tomas! The Honeywell 7-Day Programmable Thermostat is compatible with most 24V and 750mV HVAC systems; however, it is not compatible with electric baseboard heat (120-240 V). This thermostat has a minimum cool set-point of 50 °F (10.0 °C) and minimum heat set-point of 40 °F (4.5 °C). Hope this helps! - Jerry

R : Hi TCace. Yes, this thermostat has the ability to set a temporary hold or permanent hold. When you have a schedule and you change the set point, it will show "Temporary hold," and will resume schedule by the next period scheduled. If you select hold again, it will select a permanent hold which will not resume schedule until the permanent hold is taken off. I hope this was helpful. -Chea
