Only used for 15 minutes in wet snow, did as well as any other snowblower in slop, otherwise no snow yet... am weary of the “LIFT” design, don’t think the lift handle will last more than a year or two

Bought this blower a few seasons ago, and to date, no problems! I will say, however, to make sure you have or purchase a tractor with atleast 17hp, as suggested by MTD. I have a 17.5hp tractor, which is lots of power, but, I would recommend more horsepower if you are looking at buying a tractor and planning to get a blower. Great way to use your lawn tractor year round, just make sure you change the oil to 5W30 for winter use. One problem I have found, is that in heavier snow, you really have to drive slow to allow time for the augers to catch up. If you drive to fast and "push" the snow, you are asking to burn or warp your belt. The belt that drives the blower is 103" long, so when warped a very tiny bit, it will slip. I average about 1-2 belts per season. Construction is sturdy, and well put together, but make sure to clean out the snow/ice around the augers and impeller after every use, if it is stored in the cold, they will freeze, and you may burn the belt next time you start it up. For safety, there are shear pins on the augers, and I have only broken one in over two seasons. Whether you have a paved, dirt or gravel driveway, this unit has skid plates you can adjust the height for clearance. I have a gravel drive, and the skids are raised to the highest, eliminating any gravel from spitting out. Getting the unit setup for the first time is quite a chore, as I found instructions quite confusing with this item. After the initial setup, you get to know the blower very well, with no issues. Overall good item, and it beats a walk behind with wider path and more HP from the tractor. For accessories, tire chains are a must. Wheel weights or a bag of sand tied to the back works great, but either way, you need some weight, atleast 40-50lb. Next on my list is a snow cab, but anybody can do without for a few years if needed, just keep in mind, there will be snow in your face. Hope this review helps any potential buyers.
