The device has a constant 'humming' sound

I've had this clock radio for 4-days and it has constant hum sound when plugged into an outlet. It is not very loud but is still annoying. Other outlets were tried and still had the hum, and the wire was fully extended with same result. Trying to decide if it should be returned.

A humming sound can sometimes be caused by electrical interference. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
-Try moving the clock radio to a different location, away from other electronic devices like TVs, computers, or lamps. These devices can sometimes cause interference.
-Ensure the power adapter is securely and completely plugged into both the wall outlet and the clock radio's power input. A loose connection can sometimes cause an audible hum.

Terrific little clock radio

Just bought this to replace a previous Sony clock radio. Setup was easy as pie since the radio came with a button battery already installed, so the date, time, and time zone were already correct and the clock was actually running. The sound is really good for such a tiny, inexpensive radio. Only sketchy aspect is the tuning dial, which is analog, not digital. The stations are very close together on a tiny dial that is displayed through a tiny window and needs precise positioning to center on a radio station, being the reason for 4 starts instead of five. Since the tuning is analog there is no way to set presets. If the radio had digital tuning and preset ability it would be awesome, beyond five stars for the price.

Almost as resilient as pre-planned obsolescence

The dual alarm version of this alarm clock has lasted me ten years, I am so used to its alarm that while searching for a replacement i was dissatisfied. I am buying another; love the ascending alarm volume and simplicity. Maybe one day they will bring back the dual alarm version.

Small but powerful for what you need...

This clock is worth every penny since this has all of the options you need from left to right, top to bottom. I will also note that this clock has a dimm option for if which you can turn up or down the brightness on the soft orange glow of the LED display. This clock also is AC current so no boxy power adapters that are needed for DC. This clock also has a AM/FM band on the radio and has a soft alarm that will get louder and louder as time gets. The clock also has a daylight savinng buttom that has a 1hr reset for each time a daylights saving day comes that should be banned since tractors at once have headlights. This also has a option for the time zone you were in - which is already ready from the factory. This clock is awesome and everyone needs one including you!!! 👍👍👍
