Not what it used to be....

I had this same blender for over 9 years, and it was a bona fide workhorse - totally worth every penny. So, I am not a neophyte with Blendtec. Unfortunately, the engine burned out, and I had to replace it with this substandard motor that sounds more like a dollar-store fan spinning than a powerful motor. Why Blentec? Why did you go cheap? I had a VitaMix in between, and took it back to the store because I said "it couldn't compare to my Blentec." Only to find that Blendec had followed suit and gone "cheap" also. Very disappointing! It is still better than the VitaMix but NOT by much. Neither can hold a candle to the previous model, and the tamper area is SO small - what can even fit inside to push down the ingredients in the jar? The overloading of the jar happens even for simple jobs like batters; it's so weak that this is a common problem. Other people have complained of the same "overload" error all too frequently. All of this affects the entire purpose and utility of the blender. It's really a shame Blendec, and I am highly disappointed.

Thank you for providing your feedback. Blendtec has made adjustments to the machine settings so it will enter overload sooner to better protect the motor; however, the quality of the components has not changed. I would like to troubleshoot your new blender to ensure it is operating properly.

I love my blend text I’ve had it for five years without any problems. I use it every single day you can do almost anything with it. I use it mostly for my blended lattes and salsa and smoothies. I haven’t yet used the part to make soup, but I’m planning on doing that this week because my potato harvest was very abundant and I’m gonna try for tomato soup and spaghetti sauce. You won’t be sorry if you buy it I really didn’t have the money to pay for it when I got it, but I thought the investment would be worth it if mine was to break I could always buy parts which you’re not that expensive and if I had to, I just get me another one I would never want to live without it

I love my Blendtec blender! I am a busy mom, so having an efficient blender to make anything, but especially protein shakes to take on the go, is a must & this one does an amazing job!
