Q : Does anyone know how well this one stands up in winter? Will it handle wind and lots of snow?

R : It WILL NOT handle wind. Mine has been up for only two days. One side caved in today, deeply scratching and denting my car. It is not worth buying this product if you value what's stored within in. The anchors that come with it are useless. The sides easily bend inward in light wind. You need to install two guy wires on both sides to try to stabilize it better. The instructions don't say anything about that. It will not handle "lots of snow". It's not designed at all for any amount of wind or snow. Just a warning to anyone considering buying this defective product. And, you can't being it back to the store. You have to pay shipping and restocking fees to the manufacturer which will be about what you pay for the original price of the product. BUYER BEWARE. I'm warning everyone about this product and the company.

R : You could probably squeeze it into this space but you'd lose some of the strength. Plus you have to be able to secure it to the ground some how... If you're drilling into the ground it would be tough.

Q : Bylaws? Has anyone had any issues with these being set up as a temporary garage running afoul of any city bylaws anywhere?

R : I have first hand experience with this here in Ottawa where the city advised me that, according to the Ontario Building Code tents (portable shelters) are considered structures and if they exceed 108 sq feet are subject to the same building codes as any other structure. Ottawa does not enforce this bylaw unless there are complaints. Keep in mind... just because Cdn Tire is selling it does not make it legal. They sell swimming pools but they must conform with city bylaws. Same applies to these portable shelters.

R : Your past the return policy and going by your comment "(I have not anchored the legs)", you failed to preform proper installation. Mines been up for several years and PROPERLY installed with no issues, you don't install it right, its your fault it does not work.
