We love these for our deck - they are just bright enough that we can see but not bright enough that we feel on display. They only last a couple of years tho....part of the strand seems to burn out after awhile and they yellow with weather even though they aren't exposed to much direct sun. They are also not easy to install - if they came with some kind of clips it would be so much easier!

Very bright, but poor wiring

These lights were great for lighting up my front porch so people could see the steps more easily at night.
The problem I had was the wiring from the plug to the light rope. It snapped off right at the connector to the rope and can not be fixed. The wires are very weak and it doesn't take much to break them (black plug and wires btw).
But otherwise, the brightness was more than sufficient for us! If the wires to the rope weren't so cheap, I'd buy enough sets of these to line my sidewalk.
I'm torn. 5 stars for light brightness, 0.5 to 1 star for power supply wiring quality.

Not bright enough

They weren't bright enough for my use, I threw a party in my backyard which is quite big and compared to my old Christmas lights they were much dimmer and didn't help

These lights were the cause of me wasting my afternoon plus two extra trip's back to CT. I bought three sets to use on my deck. Each box I picked up was the same UPC, the same design on the box and the same specifications, or so I thought.
Two sets came with a white power cord and one came with a 15 volt black power adapter. Both with the same connections. My thought was that they switched the design of the adapter between years.
They also apparently switched the voltage on these lights as well so they are no longer compatible between years and will blow out the 15v dc versions.
If you buy more than one set of these lights, check the back of the boxes to ensure it is the 15 volt dc version.

Great light for apartment windows!

I had a bunch of regular LED lights from years past that I tried to install in my apartment window this year. It was to difficult to get them to stay up there so I set out for an alternative solution. These lights are light weight, come with mounting thingies, and they are pretty darn bright. Easy to stick up in the window and they look great. My only complaint is one of the strands I bought has a light that goes out when the rope is bent a certain way. Not a big deal as once its set up I won't be moving it so I should stay lit.
These come in two different lengths of 8 or 16 feet. My Canadian Tire location had red or green in the 8 foot lengths, and white or red/white/blue in the 16 foot lengths. Wish they came in sold blue though. Might have to check a few more stores.
