I know why this was on clearance......

First steps were okay, but then got to the rails for the netting. Y3 was too short by over 1/2" so had to adjust that to make them work, then got to the final trim pieces on the top around the edges only to find half of the screws wouldn't go in, and R3 pieces have a random notch out of them. Now that it's up, it looks nice but not a great installation/manufacturer experience. We got this item on clearance so the price point was good. I definitely wouldn't pay full price. I'd recommend if someone were to get this, it would be at a discounted price.

Decent buy

The gazebo was a great buy and easy to set up and a great addition to our yard. My problem was it came with scratches on the finish and some small dents on some of the pieces

Good product and service.

When I opened the box and inspected all the parts prior to assembly I found that 1 parts was significantly damaged. It was one of the main support beams. I was able to contact the manufacturer and although they claim to be open 24/7 they are not, so you will have to wait for a weekday. However they responded promptly and shipped the new part to my home. There was a charge for customs fees, but after discussing with their support team they claim to have mailed a cheque to cover the fees. Will find out soon. They manufacturer was very easy to deal with and it took roughly 2 weeks to get my part. The Gazebo is now assembled and so far I am happy with it. As in some other reports, the top is open to mosquitos, still not sure what to do about that. Have had some heavy rain, and roof does not leak, but does come in at the top with wind. Otherwise it has been dry. So far so good.

Poorly fixed engineering flaws

Many engineering hacks that were after thoughts to fix design flaws.
They needed a 3rd bolt size but instead tried to use an existing bolt which was denting the roof brackets underneath. A plate was added on top of the 12 foot roof brace and the bolt heads were protruding and denting the roof panels. Absolutely useless against mosquitos and the zippers are very cheap. Set up was relatively easy except for the top roof section which again, had terrible edge brackets that felt like they weren't fitting properly. Highest possible price point for a produce using the poorest quality materials.

Newly installed gazebo

I just bought this unit the other day. Installed yesterday. Instructions state you need five friends to install. I don’t have five friends. I don’t know five people willing to help. My wife and I tackled the first half. Started at 10:30am. One friend assisted for last half and finished by 7:00pm. Mostly good quality materials. No netting in top peak so I made some out of old replacement screen and gorilla tape. Looks good. Unit is better quality than my old canopy. Time will tell. After first rain there was some rust coloured water marks on legs. Also some scuff marks from transport. Nothing too serious. Biggest headache is the hook for top peak is missing. Still dealing with costumer service about that. Super annoying. Happy to not have to take down or put up canvass too anymore. Will update 6 months from now to see if it survives the winter. So far so good.

Q : another question about top vent installation.....to finish off at the top,what size step ladder do you recommend...my 6 footers just dont cut it and I want safety to be a concern... I am six feet tall and dont want to be standing on the top rung.Thank you

Q : Is it easier to assemble the top piece ( vent ) including panels on the ground and then moving it to the top or install the top frame piece and panels and plastic cover piece up high where its mounted. That way would involve a very high step ladder

R : Follow the steps. It is heavy and would be very awkward to fully assemble on the ground. I bought 2 of them 5 yrs ago and they look and held up great. Thats why i bought a 3rd. Built the 3rd one myself in 3 nights 3 to 4 hrs each night taking my time. I did need a 2nd person to hold vent while i put the 4 screws in.

But when securing the gazebo to solid foundations, such as patio concrete or wood, Sunjoy recommends you secure it with the appropriate anchors. R : Hi Shaun, First of all, the height from the ground to the roofline is 6.72 ft. Second, it will be 10x12 ft for the big roof and 2.69x4.69 ft for the small roof.
