Poor quality adhesive. Just trying to get the mount part attached to my dash, it would not stick and fell off with nothing even on it. The magnet works well, the mount just doesnt stick to your car enough to hold anything so its garbage.

Missing parts

I was excited about this, given the excellent reviews. However, I tried following the instructions to no avail. I thought it was faulty translation, all too common these days, but there were parts missing. I could live with a lack of cleaning cloth as that is easily replaceable. But what I thought was the magic plate was actually just a red sticker. There was no magic plate in my package so the whole this is useless! Also, the instructions for applying the protective film are really unclear. There is a qr code for a video that shows it better but I shouldn't have to guess. The instructions should be clear and if a video is required, the instructions should say so. Now it's just at the end, almost as an option, no indication by the QR code that this should be watched first.
Now, since I opened everything and tried with what I have, and the package is ripped, the store won't take it back. I'm really frustrated. As a single parent, I don't have money to waste. This company needs to do better with its instructions, for one thing, and they need to make sure each package has everything that is needed.

R : It does work with the phone case. You stick one of the metal pads it comes with to a desired area on the back of the case. Once you find the perfect place for the base, I suggest trying the phone at different heights to achieve optimal viewing before committing to sticking the metal pad on.

R : You should test several locations that would be suitable before sticking it to the dash. You can remove it but it’s difficult and will need a sticker pad to remount it.

Q : Planning to use this in my UTV . Can a person drill 2 small holes in the plastic and screw it to the dash board with screws and nuts on the other side . I doubt glue would last long in wet , humid conditions .

R : The glue that comes with the package is subpar. I used super tacky black Velcro to attach the mount to my dash board in my car. I have had no problems. Your idea sounds better and permanent though. The plastic base mount is quite thin. You might need to add something thicker between the base mount and dash.

There is no difference in magnetic strength between the small and large MagicPlate; all magnets are located inside the magnetic mount.
