Just bought this "universal" remote.
I have a 2008 Sears Craftsman Garage Door Opener.
I followed the instructions (3x times over), and the unit woud not work with my garage door opener.
Returning to hopefully find something else, as lost the original openers.

Easy to program - select your garage brand (skylink, mastercraft, Genie) then press the learn button on your garage opener and done! It also has the old school up/down switches inside for older models that done have the learn function.

R : The frequency setting on the opener has to match the operating frequency of the remote. Check the manual which came with the opener (may be on line) and the instructions which came with the remote. The adjustment with the remote is managed with a small wheel on the back.

R : It has general instructions that i believe would work for any garage door opener that has a training/setting feature. I'm not familiar with ambass specifically but mine had 8 dipswitches also. If you look in the dipswitch area i suspect you would see a button to sync. The universal remote also listed the brands it works with if i recall.
