I've own this BBQ for a while now and used it lots and it still is working great. The ignition switch still works and I have a cover for it so it still looks great too. I really recommend this BBQ to anyone that wants a good product for a great price.

ive mistreated this BBQ but still works great, i havent used a cover and its been attacked by rain snow and sun and it still works like the day we bought it. Except for the igniter is broken

Not the best

Bought this last summer and my husband took it to his camp this spring. It's ok for hamburgers and hot dogs, but I couldn't get a good steak from it. It never got hot enough to make the grill marks that I like an the steaks never tasted as good as I usually get them. I wasn't understanding the importance of BTU's and after spending $700 on our last BBQ I was hoping to spend a little less on this one. Lesson learned; when you BBQ as much as we do, spend the extra money

No side burner/Pic shows side burner

I bought this because I specifically wanted a side burner, the Pic shows a side burner, the FAQ's have questions regarding the side burner, but there is no side burner on this BBQ. Not cool as that's what i wanted

R : In order to properly troubleshoot the ignition, locate the electrode wire that comes pre-assembled to the burner (visible from underneath the burner box). Follow the wire to the ignition button located on the back of the control panel. Ensure that the wire is firmly connected. Confirm that a spark is being produced when the button is pressed. If you have checked these things, the next thing to do is perform a regulator reset. The instructions are in your Safety manual. Essentially it may be possible, that with difficulty lighting, the safety Flow limiting feature in your regulator was activated and needs to be reset. An essential part of lighting your BBQ is slowly opening the LP tank, slowly opening your control knob, and waiting 5 seconds before press the ignition button. Hope this helps

Q : Do you need rocks or chips in the Master Chef s420? Just bought the Master Chef S420 a couple of weeks ago. It cooks great and we love it. Really dig the electric igniter. Should we have put lava rocks or some other kind of chip/rock in the bottom to help with the grease and all that? Thanks

R : Thank you for your question. No, your BBQ does not require lava rock or any other type of radiant because it uses heat plates to channel the grease away from the burners and catch drippings. The key is to keep the heat plates free of grease by cleaning them often with your grill brush to avoid flare ups caused by built up grease. Hope this was helpful.

Q : Where can I buy an extra set of cooking grates? I went CDN tire to buy some more and they do not sell any in this size or any masterchef ones at all. They used to when I purchased this model but not anymore, why don't you have spare grates for sale when you sell their BBQ's?
