No problems for me. I find it easy to use and although the grinder has a permanent built in filter - it's easy to clean,
Over the years I've used Cuisineart, Krups ... I like this one the best. Recommended to coffee lovers that want fresh ground & brewed coffee waiting for them when they get up.

Not worth the $$$

this machine was great when it worked!! It spilled water all over my counter and then it stopped working! Brought it back and exchanged for a new one, after 2months the same thing happened again!! Save your self the heart ache and DON"T buy this

First one was a lemon not going to try another

Bought this on sale, thought it would be great. Well we weren't able to even use it to make a pot of coffee. We tried to run water through it several times, but after a half hour it had only managed to make 6/12 cups and steam away about 2 more. Not impressed. I assume its not normal, but I'm not willing to take another chance. I don't think it's a good buy after seeing it in person. Going to return for a refund.

Not what I had hoped for

I am only giving this a low review because I wasn't happy with the fact that you can only use the permanent filter and not paper because of the grinding blades are in the basket. Too often I have had permanent filters plug and your coffee is on the counter instead of in the pot. If it had the option of a basket without the grinder, example, had both options, I would have definitely kept this machine. Some people say you shouldn't use paper, try finding a replacement permanent filter when this on plugs up. After replacing two coffee machines for that reason, I'll use paper. Shame, nice machine. Again, this is my preference!

First of all, it is overpriced. I encourage you to do more research before buying it. I got it here for "half price" and I'm still disappointed with the quality of the product. The most unpleasant thing about this Black & Decker coffee maker is the strong smell of plastic you feel after each use. It doesn't go away even after 3 months from the purchase day.
However, if you catch the "half price" special offer ;) ... this machine is the cheapest grind and brew coffee maker you can buy.

R : Yes the auto brew can include the coffee grinding. You just measure the quantity of beans and put them directly into the grinder filter basket combo. I would make sure the basket would be dry if grinding. The grinding is loud, just as any other grinder. The number of cups or coffee bean amount combined with brew strength controls the grind time. Then it starts to brew. You can disable the grind if you have your own ground coffee.
