Not flat enough to work with

nimble fingers needed for some pieces. The wood keeps catching on the metal plate because there is a lip. The metal plate is not flush with the rest of the unit. Makes no sense. I am glad I tried it with test pieces first.

Misleading compatibility

Claims to be comparable with Ryobi fixed base router, however no combo of mounting holes will accommodate. Wasted money.

I recently purchased this table while it was on a half price sale. A tremendous value considering the price. It goes together quite easy, I used the original box to build it on, phillips screwdriver and an 8mm wrench/socket.
I adjusted the mounting plate to the table top before installing the router, a bit tedious but again quite easy to accomplish and get perfectly aligned. It's certainly not rocket science, a 24" straight edge is useful here.
There are 2 holes in the plate for micro adjust if your router has the option. A starter pin is also included, nice.
Plenty of router mounting hole choices! Hard to believe it doesnt fit every major brand of router on the market, but I expect the overseas model clones likely wont and will probably need mounting holes drilled to match.
I installed a 30 year old Craftsman to this table, lined up perfectly to one set of holes, I used the routers original mounting plate to find which ones. The 3 longer metric mounting screws included were not going to work for me as this being an old model router it uses imperial hardware, again no big deal I had some 10-32 x 3/4" screws in a drawer. Installed it while still sitting atop the box.
Flipping it over the fence is again an easy install. No it may not be robust but it'll work better than fine for me. The double power outlet is another easy install, a 10mm wrench is needed along with the phillips.
All in all when on sale I call this table a bargain, it works great! I used it clamped to my table saw and also my miter bench.

Q : Is it normal that my Maximum router does not start when plugged in one of the 2 table power outlets? Only the router lights come on but the router does not turn. I have to use the wall outlet for the router to run. (And yes, the router switch is on!)

R : The router won't turn on using the front switch on the router table. Have the table switch turned on then turn the router off with the switch on the router itself, then back on and it will go. It's a safety feature albeit an annoying one.

R : The router is not compatible with the table. I had the same issue. You have to use the switch on the router to turn ON. When the power is ON from the table the router may not function. Turn off and turn ON the router and it will function.

R : Table comes with universal plate that can fit most router including Mastercraft 11A. You will still have to put extra vicer to adjust the height inorder to level the metal plate with wooden surface.
