much better than on-tap systems

The Mavea was very simple to install. The flow rate is terrific, much better than an "on tap" system and provides better tasting water. We've used pitcher systems in the past as well as an on tap system, but the Mavea in line system is the best by far. Sleek, stylish and very functional.

Simple good water

This item installed very easily, does not take up a ton of room under the sink and provides a very stylish dispenser (much better than others). The filter has removed the chlorine smell and taste previously in our water. It has also removed elements that previously fouled our kettle. The only hold back on this purifier is the cost of the replacement filters.

Great product

We purchased this product last weekend and we were pleasently suprised at how easy installation actually was. The tap is really elegant and fits right into our kitchen decor. Having filtered water on hand instantly for cooking, and making coffee and tea is great.

Easy installation, water tastes great

We just installed this a few weeks ago. The installation itself only took about 15 minutes, and we've noticed the difference in both our drinking water and in the coffee and tea we've brewed since. Highly recommend for anyone interested in filtering their tap water!

R : As a general good practice it is always a good idea to flush a new replacement cartridge for at least a couple of minutes before use. Two minutes is usually more than adequate for carbon filters.

R : The Aktiv+ system is designed to work with municipal water and well water that has been certified safe for human consumption. The Aktiv+ system is not designed to remove bacteria, viruses, cysts or any other microbes that would make water unsafe to drink. As long as your well water (in Nova Scotia) has been tested and is already safe for consumption, then the Aktiv+ will work. Given that there is likely no Chlorine in the customers well water , the Aktiv+ system will target and reduce the the hardness of the water.
