I purchased my Thule SUP taxi in 2016 and up until now (9 years later). It has never given me any grief, helps my boards secure and protected from theft if I decide to stop for a bite after a paddle. I have used it on many road trips and 80+ mph on the highway (I live in Texas, our toll speed limit is 80), however I try to stick around 70 at most. No issues with rubber wearing it coming off. It's adjustable to fit your specific board (this is important to take the time to line up the carrier with your boards specific measurements for a secure fit. It has been garage kept so that likely contributed to its longevity and current condition. Def has a few hundred bug splatters, but still looks great.
I recently purchased a 4Runner and unfortunately the Thule is too tall to fit it in my garage so I had to change to a lower profile carrier, otherwise I would still be using it. Highly recommend!

Rubber pads are awful

This is the second SUP Taxi I have bought and with both rack systems the rubber pads that the boards rest on have broken off, and with my newest one, the pads are black and the black rubber melts off onto my boards. Not to mention it makes the boards hard as hell to get off the rack, they stick to my deck pads causing damage to my deck pads also. The rubber pads have broken off my system and now I can’t even replace them.
