Tons of room. Easily fits 4 large soft cover suitcases plus lots more. It comes with window frame anchors plus instructions and a roof pad to protect your vehicle. My vehicle has built in roof side bars to give stability for the straps as I wouldnt trust just the window anchors. Assembly is best with 2 people to ensure straps are evenly taut. Do not let straps dangle. Carrying duffle included, which is about the size of a sleeping bag. No problems for a 8 hour trip and up to 120 km.

While on vacation in Calgary, we wound up getting a bit carried away at IKEA and needed some extra cargo space to get everything home. We looked at pricing out a roof rack for the car but it was hard to find anything for under $1000, so when I saw this thing I decided to give it at try. The bag comes with the non-slip mat so you don't have to buy one of those (they had them sold separately on the shelf next to the cargo bags) and if you don't have roof rails, it comes with a set of hooked straps that fit in your window moulding. I loaded the larger furniture boxes and luggage and baby stuff into the bag on the car, that was the hard part, it was super easy to strap down after that. The instructions say to try and fill the bag as much as possible and to use soft materials to take up extra space, the more full it is the less it will flap in the wind. We gave it a check after an hour on the highway and found it didn't shift and the straps were holding fine, then carried on the next 7 hours without issue. There's no real information on how to clean it as it obviously gets covered in bug guts, the material seems non-stick so you could probably scrub the bugs off with a wet towel, I decided to take it to the car wash with me and scrub it with the foam brush and pressure was it off. We didn't encounter any rain on our trip but the inside of the bag was still dry after a good pressure washing so I'd imagine it's hard for water to find its way in barring some kind of product defect. When it's all said and done the whole thing can be folding up and stored in a provided travel bag. This was actually great for us as I don't know that we would have had the clearance to get a hard mounted cargo box into the garage. This gives you the option of packing the bag along in case you need it.

Worked great on my Jetta - fit well between my roof racks and stayed put from Calgary to Halifax and kept everything dry and protected.

Just bought this rooftop cargo bag and you can tell, after checking it over and unzipping the bag, that the quality is very good. I bought this cargo bag to replace another brand that I had for over 5 years and I am very pleased to know that this one will most certainly last for a very long time. The size is really roomy and much bigger than my last one. Good value for the price even if it is full price.
