Waste of time and money

Brought this pool home yesterday. No instructions in the box, has 2 holes in it from factory. The glue they used in the seams stuck to the liner and when separated it tears the liner. Save yourself the headache and buy a different brand.

Not the ladder that’s advertised

I specifically bought this pool because the ladder it came with showed the image of one with a top platform. Open the box and lo and behold, it’s the same junk ladder that everyone else sells with no platform.

Great for size

It fit our small backyard. Big enough to have some fun on hot days! Had it for three years now. Took it down first year. Last two kept up during winter months.. Unnhooked it Drained a little off top. Covered it and tarped it all up. Has been great! We upgraded to sand / salt water pump.

Had to return, very bad instruction set included, and very difficult to install.You will have to rely on youtube videos and that too wouldn’t make it any easy. Very bad design for the price. Also had a leakage.

Q : Was this pool supposed to come with a hose to use the vacuum attachment. I tried a standard pool vacuum hose and it was too big and I am not sure what I need to clean the pool

R : The "vacuum" that came with the pool unfortunately isnt all that great. I tried using it many times but not much luck. The good news is that the first summer we had the pool setup, i jumped in, walked around the pool in a pattern and tried my best to kick up the stuff on the bottom. My daughter followed me around with the net and scooped it up. We have the 16x8 rectangle pool and it took maybe 10-15 minutes each time. Not too bad. It took 2 or 3 times longer trying to use the vacuum that came with it ,and it didnt do anywhere near as good a job.

R : Coleman recommends to take it down and store away from the elements. If you do decide to leave it up, consult a professional on 'closing the pool' and winterizing it. They would know what to do in your region as far as protection from freezing etc.

R : The pipes that come from the pool\filter are not that long. However, you just need an extension cord. my power is 25FT, I have an extension cord run to the pump.

R : Hi Archie, Thank you for your interest in the Coleman Power Steel Rectangular Pool. Once the pool is filled to the required capacity, the frame will hold its shape. Almost any completely flat, solid and level surface can be used. Do not use sand as leveling material as it is prone to shift under the pool. The ground should be dug out until it is perfectly level. Do not set up on driveways, decks, platforms, gravel or asphalt. The ground should be stable enough to withstand the weight and pressure of the water. Mud, sand, soft/loose ground and tar are not suitable. To avoid abrasions and tears in the liner, it’s recommended to not drag the pool across the surface. If the pool has to be set up on a lawn, it is recommended that the grass is removed from under and around. The grass will die and may cause odors/slime.

R : Any heater would work it just depends on your setup and how much you want to spend. Solar is a great supplemental heat source if you receive lots of direct sunlight. A heat pump, gas/propane or electric heater provide heat any time of day or night but do have direct fuel costs associated with them. We have a11kw electric heater that does an excellent job but we also have solar panels on the house to cover the cost. It is wise to utilize a solar blanket over night to reduce heat loss due to evaporation. Insulate below the pool. We enclosed our pool in a large tent which shelters it from wind and leaves/birds.

IMPORTANT: Certain types of hard grass can grow through the liner, as can aggressive bushes/plants by the sides or through the pool. If this happens, it cannot be considered a manufacturer problem. Moreover, ground cloths are not designed to avoid this situation. So be sure to remove all aggressive bushes/plants from the designed location of the pool and its surroundings before installing it. The pool comes with a 1500 GPH filter pump, which is the correct size for this pool. We recommend cleaning the filters regularly.

Q : I really want the pool to heat well. Are there only solar blankets to get for this?? I find any ones we have bought are super thin and do not work. We had a custom made thick one for another pool but it was round so it won't fit. Advice?? Thanks

R : This pool comes with a thick rubberized cover which not only keeps pool clean but also warms it up faster then the usual thin covers you get with some pools I am quite pleased

Q : What size (diameter) are the pump hoses that connect to the pool? I am wanting to upgrade my pump, but I know it depends on hose size if it will fit or not. I do not want to spend the money on something that is not compatible.
