Worked OK but batteries only lasted a week, then down to only 4 days, then failed altogether after abot 6 weeks. Like the additional manual port for untimed water access.

Good product

I bought this product on sale . does what it says.Had no problem so far . I have it out in open under open sky (rain and sun) , working without a flaw so far.

Don't waste your money

Item was on sale but sold out. Got my rain check and store received only six a week later. After reviewing the ratings and comment, I bought two instead of one.
I went out of town for a week and upon my return I noticed that things were not as moist as I would have thought. Monitoring the evening water, one turned on but locked up. Controls were unresponsive. Could not stop or change the timer settings. Ultimately had to pull battery to reset controls. Lucky i came home when i did.
The second continued to work until I realized it was watering at all hours. The 'timer' couldn't keep time. It lost 12 hours in two weeks. Not minutes but hours.
I thought I had a great deal but the saying, you get what you paid for comes to mind.

Does what it says.

This is clearly indicated to be a ONE ZONE timer and works well as such. The second (straight through) port is a bonus in that one does not have to shut the timer off for incidental, non-timed watering.

Don't buy it if you want a 2 zone water timer. Canadian Tire should not carry this product as it is packaged. You can only program one of the outputs, the other is just a straight on-off. Even the instructions don't show this. Very misleading! Don't buy it!

Q : mine is broken, but still withing the 5 year canadiantire waranty bought it last year, worked fine, stored inside all winter, went to use it this year and its always on. so its defective. I now see that this product is now discontinued, so what am I getting when I return it.

Q : Need 12 hour cycle I need a watering timer that can run for 12 hours (basically from 8pm to 8am everyday). It's being used to control water to my Scarecrow anti-pest device so that it only runs at night time.

R : Our electronic timers do not have a 12 hour cycle. The timers can be programmed to turn on up to 6 times for day each time with a duration between 1 and 240 minutes. So if you want to have the timer on for 12 hours per day you could program it to come on three sequential times for 240 minutes each...essentially three sessions of 240 minutes (4 hours) for 4 hours each. 1st session starts at 8:00pm for 240 minutes 2nd session starts at 12:00am for 240 minutes 3rd session starts at 4:00am for 240 minutes Timer will shutoff at 8:00 am. You would also have option to use 3 sessions during the day to water as well Hope this helps The toll free customer service line for live support is 1-877-283-0697

Q : How can this work with anti siphon valve on hose bib? I connect it, if the other port is running it will not leak, but once that's shut off the anti siphon device on my hose bib spurts water and bubbles up. It is a huge waste of water and makes the timer useless. Do I replace hose bib?
