Screen doens't have great resolution

These screens don't have great resolution, and the colour isn't quite true. Otherwise, they are durable and a nice size and weight.

DVD Player is ok, but cable is too weak

The DVD player still work, but the power cable for the car is way too thin. It broke in less than a year.

Great

Kids love it, the only problem we are having is the main player seems to be scratching the discs, we get one watch out of a new movie and it skips and you can see the big circle scratched right into the disc. It's 2 years old.

Has quite a few flaws

I've gone through two of these in a year...first one the second screen just stopped working after a couple weeks. Figuring we got a dud, returned it to Canadian Tire and got a new one. I will say, the picture quality is excellent and the volume is loud enough that it can be heard in a truck at highway speeds. But there are a few flaws that have drove me crazy for the entire life of the item:
No stop button! Only pause...seems odd to me
No video memory...the movie starts over again from the start every time the unit is powered off and on...super irritating.
The function buttons are all one button on a circular dial...press the top of play, button for pause, right for skip etc....but you have to press it in the exact perfect spot of you could chose the wrong function...and often has to be pressed several times for it to work.
the straps for the headrest and annoying to set up, constantly slip around on a leather headrest and because of where they attach to the monitor it leans forward slightly.
The dvd player just died on us one day after about 7 months of use....I was not impressed with this brand.

The kids love it!

Great price when I bought it. The kids were able to navigate on their own on a 21 hour trip to Florida. Well worth it. I just wish Canadian Tire would offer a protection plan on the items they sold. But that aside, and the fact that we still have a truly Canadian company to support, all is good.

R : No. There's an audio port (ie. for headsets) that if your vehicle has an auxiliary port, you can plug into and run through your car speakers that way. That's what we did and the sound quality dramatically improved.
