It did not work at all after I plugged it in the wall and when I brought it back to the store Canadian Tire the clerk plugged it in also and it was not working. I am glad that I was refunded and will never buy another one.

Doesn't seem to do much

Maybe I have high expectations, but this humidifier doesn't seem to do much. The model is supposed to cover 2600 sq ft; our condo is 1200, yet the humidifier is struggling to get to 30% humidity. Only occasionally and only for a short period of time, humidity reaches 30% and above. Most of the time, we get 22-25%. The unit is quiet at lower speeds (F1 and F2) and yes, it raises humidity by about 5%, I will give you that.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The amount of humidity being put in the air depends on a lot of variables, one being the outside temperature. If it is negative degrees outside, the unit will not go over 30% humidity. Another variable is if the wick is dry, if the wick is not saturated all the way to the top, it will affect the amount of humidity being released into the home as well. Good Humidifier but not "Whole House"

This humidifier is an upgrade. Good auto feature, turns off when empty, quiet esp on low, in high fan speed still quieter than our previous. Durability though unknown, at 1 month.
Trouble is that it has a tiny reservoir, less than ½ of our other one. On cold days, it would empty itself too quickly.
But for room or large room, good enough. $200 worth? It'll have to be very durable.

R : Yes. Just started using and was surprised and pleased with this feature. Also has an automatic speed setting that adjusts the fan speed needed to bring the actual room humidity up to the set humidity.

R : In Mississauga, the filter will last 4-5 months if you use Essick water conditioner as directed. If not, it will probably last just a few weeks. It gets discoloured and the humidity in the room won't change, even when the unit seems to be functioning properly.

Q : Any issues with the unit leaking onto the floor? I have purchased a couple humidifiers in the past and they ruined my hardwood floors. We need one but now I'm leery, and we don't have a central furnace to install one of those units.
