Déchiqueteuse/broyeuse sans fil à démarrage électrique à essence Detail K2 OPC505AE, 5 po, 14 HP

This item was purchased over a year ago and has been un used for 90% of its time with a ground maintenance. The machine jams on 1 inch and 2 inch limbs. The chipper worked well on cider limbs.

Surpasses expectations, gave it 4 out of 5*. Would have given 5 * but the hydraulic system really needs a oil cooler, had to let it cool off after 40 minutes of use.

We have only used the chipper for a few hours but, so far, are very impressed with it. It has made quick work of several of the many piles of brush we have accumulated cleaning up after Ontario's derecho storm of last May. It is a large, heavy machine and keep that in mind when you go to pick it up - it was almost too much for our utility trailer to carry. The only negative we have found is the manual, and I hesitate to even call it that. There is a LOT of missing information needed to get the chipper ready to run. For instance, no mention is made of hydraulic fluid - what type is needed nor how much to add. Looking over the machine, we noticed three grease nipples. Again, these are not mentioned but we added grease and will put them on our maintenance task list. Connecting the battery is also not listed in the assembly instructions, nor is any mention of the kill switch atop the hopper - if this is not in the correct orientation, the chipper will not start (we discovered this after much cranking of an engine that would not fire up). Searching on goggle located a manual with a little more information, but all this, and more, should be in the provided manual. Once you get past these issues, the chipper starts easily, works great, and we are very pleased with it. Customer service is excellent. I contacted them with several questions and received quick, accurate, and helpful responses. One thing to note is that on the Detail K2 website, it says that this chipper comes with "lockout keys, safety glasses, ear protection, work gloves, an oil bottle and assembly tools". While there are two ignition keys included, if this is what they mean by “lockout keys”, none of the other items were to be found. An email to Customer Service, and they are shipping us the missing items.
