it blows just not cold air

used one season , second season it wasn't used more the a few times but this third season 2024 it just not blowing cold air.
At 700 plus dollars one would hope for something better by a brand that has been in existence for so long.
I'd never buy a floor based model again or any other honeywell product.
PS the self check out didn't over extended warranty or equalized payments on ctc card.

Though this unit can cool a space of 250 sq.ft, room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency. Short lived and loud

This was my 2nd Honeywell/Noma brand portable AC for our upstairs bedroom. It was overkill for the size, but at the time (Summer 2021) it was on sale and I figured if it is rated for 700 sq feet, our 300 sq foot bedroom/ensuite would be mean it wouldn't be taxed. For the last 2 summers, it worked fine albeit VERY loud in AC mode. I never used the dehumidifier option, only fan and AC. In the winter it was moved from the window and stored in a closet out of the way. I didn't start using the ASC function until a few weeks ago due to the cool spring, and out of the gate it was useless. It was constantly shut off due to the water tray being full, and after some troubleshooting I found that it was icing up within 15/20 mins of trying to cool the room from 24 to 20 degrees. It has since been replaced, and I'm seeing more than a few reviews on this and similar models that say they are only good for a few years at best.
After buying another new one (not NOMA), I tried to clean it out thoroughly in hopes it could be salvaged. No luck. Off to the landfill it is.
Don't waste your money. $700+ dollars for only a few years of use is not a good return.

Apologies on your experience with this unit. Our portable air conditioners work best in well insulated, enclosed spaces. These units work on self evaporation and do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid condisions. The unit is designed to shut off when the water tank is full.

once a quality brand

just an abysmal unit.. I've been duped by Honeywell.. I have this in a bed room and it struggles to cook it off.
I spent my money on this thinking it would give years of service but I only got 2 summers .
now we are in a major heat wave and its not working.
I can't afford another. Canadian tire and Honeywell got paid.
I have nothing to show for my money. rating system won't allow 1 star .. I give it 0

Un citron. Une grosse déception

Je suis très déçu de ce produit. Le premier appareil acheté neuf chez Canadien Tire était défectueux, la ventilation à l'intérieur était croche et frottait dans le mécanisme. J'ai donc retourné l'appareil. Le 2 appareil acheté neuf au même Canadian Tire a fonctionné qu'un seul été. l'été suivant, quad j'ai voulu l'utiliser, il fonctionnait mais ne refroidissait plus. C'est 600$ dans les poubelles puisqu'aucun réparateur ne veut me le réparer. Et la cie ne voulait pas la reprendre puisque la garantie d'un an avait expiré. Il a été entreposé dans mon logis à l'abris et n'a jamais été cogné ou malmené. Un vrai citron quoi.
Non, Je ne recommande pas ce produit.

R : The unit has a timer option. If you choose to use it, then the maximum time it will run for is 24 hours. It will then shut off automatically. We are in the middle of a record setting heatwave, so obviously it's a setting we choose not to use.
