Gazebo looks good! Unfortunately, pieces in the kit were bent, which made it challenging to make the roof level. Panels and hardware were already scratched - the black coating is thin and cheap. For anyone building this, I’d recommend waiting to install the railing until you’ve gotten the 2 layers of roofing panels up - makes it easier to use your ladder to pop up between the wood frame and the roof frame with your roof panel. I’m glad I got this on clearance for $1499 but I didn’t have time to email the manufacturer for replacement pieces as we were racing against the weather. Also kinda ridiculous that the bug netting and privacy curtains aren’t included in this kit - that’s capitalism for ya.

My Hard Top Gazebo from Keswick

I am going to set it up in the spring but I know people that have this one and they like it. I want to give a big 5 stars to the staff of the Keswick Canadian Tire for all of their hard work and excellent customer service. She even took the time to write the dimensions of the 2 boxes to make sure that my truck driver could get it in the truck.

Gazebo price increase

This gazebo has been 1999.00 all summer. Went went to a store and looked it over and decided it would be perfect for our deck. A sales associate told us it would go on sale so we decided to wait. Each week every other gazebo has been on sale except this model. We decided to purchase it anyways when we returned from holidays this week. Today we looked up a store with inventory online and notice the price has now gone up to 2099.00. Come on Canadian tire you can do better. All summer store going on sale except thos gazebo and instead you raise your prices. Don't be fooled by their price increases.

R : If you have trouble getting the netting or if you want the wall curtains as well - the For Living Essex walls with netting works well and it's less expensive that buying the netting and walls separate for the Collingwood!!

R : Yes. I built mine on a raised deck, expanded to 151 inches wide so I could secure the twelve foot side of the gazebo on a strong base. I reinforced the deck under the post locations with 2X6 lumber and used 4 inch lag bolts to secure the post deck plates. As long as the wood base is very strong and stable, go ahead.

R : 14' length size is no problem. The 10.5' size is a bit on the small size although the main post will sit it okay. The only problem is that you may not be to use the outside post plate hole to screw it down from the top. You will be able to screw down 3 of the sides. Come to think of it you may possibley bend over the outside plate hole and screw that into your deck that way you have all four sides screwed down. The color of the roof is black.

R : Yes, it comes with netting and the rail is there to hang it. But the netting is a curtain that zips together, so the bottom and top technically have openings for bugs. No netting on the double roof gap. I would think you could affix some netting around the top roof level if you wanted, but you will never beat those mosquitos getting in. I post one of those bug light/zappers off to the side and it seems to help. Good luck.

Q : HI EVERYONE I'm seriously looking at buying one of these gazebos but NEED to know the height measured from floor to the underside of the wood beams. We are going to enclose the gazebo with windows and knotty pine as well as a screen door.
