Product Needs to Be Redesigned...again

I had exchanged this cutting board 3 times and it finally went back for good. For those who have the leveling screw problem, the good news is they fixed it. I wish I had taken a picture in the store, but the new screw is at least 1/4 inch longer. The bad news is, the new screw comes with a slight design difference in the board. The new one has a joint/seam smack in the middle of the groove to collect liquid. Mine split after one use. I can also confirm the finish does not hold up. After about a week you could see exactly where I was cutting. Maybe I was just subject to a bad batch of blocks as this was the only Lagostina product I have ever had an issue with.

planche à déoupée

Nous avions acheté 6 planches à découper gourmet de lagostina,c était pour offrir en cadeau et les dix ont fendues.nous avons été remboursé mais ce fut une grande déception pour mes enfants qui aimeraient en avoir une aitre mais je n ose plus en acheter de cette marque

It Looks Fantastic On My Countertop

Though I just read below and noticed that some other reviewers were not that happy with this cutting board, I have to say, that the same is not the case with me.
I did notice that there is one leg that screws in and out and at first my cutting board wasn't level either, but then I adjusted it the way you're suppose to and it worked just fine. Also, I've had mine for a year now and have had no problems whatsoever with the wood ungluing. What I especially like is that it sits up off the counter, so any spills or messes from the sink, does not alter or warp the wood which has happened with wood cutting boards I've had in the past.
The only thing that is a bit disconcerting, is that the finish that comes on the wood wears off wherever you do the majority of your cutting. Other than that, its been great for me. Oh and a tip, to help keep it clean and looking its best (which helps spots that grow dull from lots of cutting action) is rub some organic coconut oil into it and voila, it looks almost like new again.

R : Of course. It's wood. It's unlikley that an item from the oven would be hot enough to cause significant damage. Maybe a cast iron pan if you baked it at over 400F; but a typical pan used for a typical meal won't hold enough heat to cause any real problem.

R : 19" x 13.6" x 2” minus the space wasted by the useless ditch around the edge, so about 16" x 10.6" useable space (but it still takes up 19" x 13.6" of countertop and storage space). Since you rest a roast before carving, I recommend letting it rest on a tray (which makes it easier to collect the juice for gravy) and then (after it's done most of its dripping) carve it on a proper cutting board or butcher block that provides a full cutting area.
