Replacement battery helps take out Snowdrifts

The replacement battery was fantastic, it charged up really well the first time. The snow blower had been a gift from my son 4 years previous to the time this replacement battery was purchased. I set up the snow blower and plug in the battery and went and cleaned our driveway in about 30 minutes which usually took 1 - 2 hours to clean with a shovel. The battery was taken out recharged and is waiting for the next snowfall.

Sorry to say, the battery was used twice and charged and then ceased to take a charge making it useless. The charger no longer accepts it. My other battery is still taking a charge.

Never Again

Doesn't even last a couple of years. It barely lasts 20 mins now, and Canadian Tire has bumped the price up from $250 to $300. Complete waste of money and ceryainly not worth it. Going back to gas and throwing the mower away, so it's really great for the environment. Not.

A “normally” used battery can last over 1000 cycles. A cycle means that the battery goes from fully charged to empty and then fully charged again. A battery is considered a consumable and over time may lose the ability to store the same amount of energy as it did at the beginning of its life cycle. In optimal conditions 80V lithium-ion batteries typically have a lifespan of up to 2,000 charging and discharging cycles (1,000 with a rapid charger). Does not Charge

Purchased this battery with my electric snow thrower. After 1 season it no longer charged. Called Green Works because it was still under warranty. They said they will send me one end of April because they do not have any in stock. I told them this does not work because I need it for my snow thrower this winter. They sent me 2 60v 2amp batteries because that all they had. Run time for each battery is about 10mins. What a a waste!!!! Very Unsatisfied!!!

Hello Justin. We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery. The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use, as mentioned when the claim was processed. Please know that batteries in the same voltage platform will ultimately perform the same but the run-time/cuts will vary. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is, the more run-time/cuts the battery has to offer.

R : I don't see why not. It's the 60V that matters, the Amp Hours is a measure of capacity. My Greenworks Leaf Blower came with a 2.5 Amp Hour battery and I bought an additional 4 Amp Hour battery to have a second backup and it works fine.

R : Hello Carlow1961 - The battery chargers do have auto cut offs to prevent it from over charging. However, we do advise customers to remove the battery from the charger after it has been fully charged and to also unplug the charger from the outlet, as this is good electrical safety practice to do so. This will also help to prevent false defects reading and allows the charger to reset itself each time it’s used to charge a battery.
