The shark cordless pet perfect hand vac is wonderful when cleaning dog hair from my car and couch. Short haired dogs shed the worse and the suction power is great!

Q : Suction power I find the suction power is weak even when battery is fully charged. Just bought it last week. Is there a unit in CT store so I could compare its suction power with mine? Or I just have it replaced with a new one?

Q : How do you get the power head off once you put it on? I just bought this machine (cordless Shark - 15.6) today. There is catch on the inside when you put the head on but no apparent way to release. So, it appears that once you put the power head on it is there permanently. Any solutions?

R : Just pull it off. It goes on and off easily. You don't need a release button.

Q : Does Battery Charger protect battery? How does the charger work? It monitors the battery charge and stop charging when full avoid degradation of the battery? Is it the same system with the Shark? How long does the battery last? And how much does it cost to replace?

R : The charger is NOT a smart charger that monitors the battery and stops charging to avoid degradation of the battery. The charger is NOT the same system used for other Shark vacs. (We mistakenly used the charger for the 12V shark on this 15.6V model and it wouldn't charge the vacuum.) Battery life is around 6 or 7 minutes when you don't use the power head, and 4 or 5 minutes if you use the carpet attachment. Replacement battery packs are $25 and we had to order it through the Shark webite. By the time you throw in taxes, shipping and handling, it's between $35-40 Cdn.
