Constantly Flat - Terrible Customer Service

I bought these last spring, and had issues right away. I had them installed at my local mechanic. After a week the light came on indicating I needed to re-fill them with air. Long story short I need to refill them almost every 2 weeks of driving. I've had them checked for leaks at 2 different mechanics and none were found, because no leaks were found I can not claim them under warranty, and I am stuck filling my tires up with air multiple times a month. I was curious if it was maybe just my van before I wrote this review, but I went the entire winter without needing to put air into my winter tires. I've had my tires on for 10 days and the light has come on to refill them already. I reached out to Pirelli and this is their reply" This is a matter you would need to discuss with Canadian Tire directly. As this is a Canadian Tire exclusive product, warranty is handled by Canadian Tire directly. If the tires were not installed by Canadian Tire, they will be unable to assist you in initiating a warranty claim. If your servicing dealer is able to locate the leak you describe and believe it to be a warrantable condition, they should be able to assist you in initiating a warranty claim and having the affected tire submitted for warranty inspection."

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Why isn't any information available about this tire anywhere?

    • A: I see you received a couple of responses already. For what it's worth I'll give you my experience and bit I know. By the way, for purpose of reference and comparison I have a 2013 Ford Escape with the 1.6 Ecoboost. First off, I wasn't aware Pirelli makes this specially for Canadian Tire but that makes sense as to why I couldn't get any info from the Pirelli website either. When I bought my tires this spring the first Canadian Tire guy I talked to couldn't find any, and he went through some hoops to get info but nada. I called the next day, spoke to another person and they found them in their Calgary warehouse so if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Canadian Tire has a road rating on some of their better quality tires. The P8 is rated 98, that's out of a 100. This is a general sort of a rating that is an averaging of scores on different attributes. These are ride smoothness, road noise, durability, fuel economy, handling, and for all seasons, which these are, wet pavement traction. The P8 scores very high in all categories as seen in the 98 point rating. They are not quite as quiet as the top line Michelins and maybe not quite as smooth as those same Michelins but they are better for hard cornering and general handling and they are still a fairly quiet and a very smooth riding tire. Also the P8s are superior to the Michelins for projected durability - 130,000 km. for the Pirellis versus 115,000 km. for the Michelins; they get better projected fuel economy than the Michelins; and they are quite superior to the Michelins for wet pavement traction. They had the highest wet pavement traction of any Tire in their price range and beyond. Their rating was 100 in this category as well as in durability and fuel economy. And the final clincher for me was a heck of a price as well. These are pricey tires but if you can get them on sale at Canadian Tire you may find a real bargain. I would certainly buy these tires again.

    • A: Depending on your tire size. I had these installed on my 2013 Chrysler 300 AWD (19 inch) and handle amazing. The Canadian Tire app should be able to do that for you

Q: I am looking for an all season tire for an audi q5. This tire is advertised as a suitable tire for an suv. I can't find this model at the Pirelli Canada website. Is this made exclusive for CTC? Which traditional Pirelli tire does this resemble?

    • A: I got this set of tires for a week now. By far it’s better than my old set of Bridgestone Ecopia. Good handling, good in dry and wet, good in braking/grip and notice a liitle bit of decrease in gas mileage. About the tires they are under the P8 series of Pirelli and been a while in the market more or less 40 years since they introduce it. Hope this will help a bit.

Q: 225/55r18. Looking at the Pirelli P8 FS SUV tire. Do the sipes go all the way to the wear indicator? 1/2 way? or are they just on the upper 3/32nds? is the P8 considered a better tire then the Cinturato P7 Plus III or Scorpion Verde as it is more $$?
