Good Purchase

Despite the many negative reviews, I decided to give this product a try because I liked the idea that it would instantly kill (no injured rates escaping) and that the trap area is enclosed and would keep my dog away from dead rats until I empty it. I have owned this product for a bit over a year now, and quite like it. I use it in my garage as during winter I find that a lot of rats are getting in somehow. I have caught quite a few with this and have no problems with the wifi connection or app as other reviewers have mentioned. I removed 1 star because I find a set of batteries only lasts me 3-4 kills, and the product description states they should last quite a bit longer. Overall I am satisfied and would recommend it.

Doesn't catch rats.

Doesn't catch rats. I tried this trap out for a month and not a single rat. When I swapped it out for conventional traps, I caught five. I really wanted this thing to work, since it can't injure neighbourhood cats or racoons, but nothing. I so wanted it work that this is the second time I've tried one of these; I thought the first might be defective, so tried a second. nope. The rats just won't go into it.

Wireless doen't work, talked to Victor, the unit is discontinued, can't help. Hoping unit actually works, time will tell

A: The trap requires 4 "C" batteries (not included). Kills up to 50 rats per set of batteries with high-voltage shock.

Q: Can you kill both Rat and mice with the same device considering the difference in size of rodent and kill chamber space. Not sure what I have but want to buy the best device you sell. Pls suggest

A: While mice are certainly able to enter the electronic rat trap, they might be too small to align themselves on the plates to trigger it. This trap is designed with the weight and size of a rat in mind. We recommend identifying whether there are rats or mice present and going from there.
