We bought one for the cottage, and it worked pretty well. For some of the black/horse flies that seemed to be on steroids, the racket just stunned them enough to fall to floor and i could step on them. It's an instant kill with mosquitos. I liked it so much i got two more; one for home and a second for cottage. It works so well on fruit flies too. I also like that the first sheet of steel on either side is a safety shield and has no voltage. It's the inner screen that produces the zap.

I had purchased a similar item from a competitor’s store last year and it worked well, until this year. I bought this unit last week, and is far superior in construction, uses bigger batteries, which delivers the consistent killing voltage to Eleminate insects.
