Had to modify the thermostat placement on the housing due to the thermostat being obstructed during installation by existing parts on the heater.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can this be turned off?

A: No it remains at a very low setting. The outside temp would have to be very cold for it to kick in. Just a failsafe for a standalone heater not connected to a central thermostat. I think it is set to around 5°c at the lowest. To have full control you need a thermostat otherwise I have them wired in to their own breakers ( a 15amp breaker can handle at least 2500w of combined heaters - nothing else- ) and just shut off the breaker in the warmer weather.

Q: Is this thermostat compatible with model 052-9105 (UGB1002)?

A: Looking at the cover for that model I'm not so sure this will fit. It's more designed for the bravia models.
