Poor results for a number of reasons

Product is poor for a number of reasons - I found it has very poor coverage - both the size of area that can be covered, and the translucent nature of the product shows things through it. I had some minor hairline cracks in the concrete (as all concrete does) - so I did cover these cracks with the Rust-oleum product "cocrete patch and repair kit". I wasn't able to locate the 1:1 Fast patch kit, so used the 2:1 kit as indicated. Once I rolled the floor coating over this I noticed that it didn't cover the patching I had done. I thought maybe once it cured it might, but it did not. So now all the patching that I did underneath shows through. Also, the coverage even when applied heavier (at about 60 sq. ft for one kit which is half the sated covering) still wouldn't completely cover the patching. The coating is initially clear and you mix in the metallic from a provided jar. The amount provided is obviously not enough to eliminate the transparency of the clear coating. Also when mixing I use a mixing paddle on a drill at a slow rev - and after hardening the 24 hours found many air bubbles had developed in the finished flooring. Lastly when rolling out the coating anywhere where you overlapped your rolls takes on a very pebbled texture. Not sure if the fact that it may have started to dry resulted in this or what, but it looks terrible for this pebbling as well as the overlapping resulted in a different "color" then the rest of the floor. You can basically see exactly how you applied the coating to the floor in the end product. Further research indicated that the air bubbles where likely a result of the mixing - yet no where in the instructions did it indicate that any mixing more aggressive than by hand could have this undesirable result. Also the poor "look" to the overall finished product with the pebbling and roller markings would have me NOT ever use this specific product again. I would go with something that is a fully tinted color so that nothing shows through from the bottom. Now before anyone says anything about the prep of the floor - I will say that I spent many hours prepping the floor - I degreased as suggested, I power washed the concrete twice, and then I etched using the provided citric acid etch in the kits. I let it dry many days before coating. I used the supplied roller. All research I had read indicted that the secret was in the prep, and so I tried to be as meticulous on this as I could. End results was still poor at best. Side note - I did read somewhere after the fact that someone else had the issue with the translucent results - and suggested a dark or black primer applied first to the floor might have resulted in a better look - so if you are considering this - I would look into that option (although that adds to the cost and effort).
