Rust-Oleum® EpoxyShield Premium Floor Coating Kit, Clear Gloss, 2.66-L/0.7-Gallon

I used two kits for my 2 car damage garage floor and it was still stretched thin in spots. However lots of complements on how nice it looks. Do your preparation and it will be worth it. I mixed the two in a bucket and yes there is a difference between kits. I only used one bag of sand and quarter of the other at the garage edge for ice. I used a roller to apply this product. Little expensive for the amount.

BEWARE!!! budget for more, description of coverage is very subjective, paint for a living , I box barely covered 250 sq. ft never again!!! over priced ..extremely disappointed..

I used this clear coat to seal a garage floor which I had just finished with grey Rust-Oleum epoxy shield. The clear coat is supposed to cover 450 to 500 square feet. The single car garage is 10’ x 20’ ( 200 sq. ft. ) there was barely enough product to cover this area. ( running out as I approached the garage entrance. At the cost , there certainly should be enough product to easily coat a single car garage.

This is honestly just an awful product and ruined my garage floor coating. I used the Rust-oleum 2-part "garage grey" epoxy coating as a base coat. This base coat turned out wonderfully and I was quite excited to put on the clear coat and finish my floor. The clear coat product is absolutely terrible and ruined all of the hard work that had been put into the floor up until application. It is very difficult to apply and shows everything. Unfortunately I cannot afford whatever would be required to properly fix this floor now, and I am really wishing I had not spent the money on this project and on this particular product, which I bought TWICE. That is a lot of money on an absolutely terrible product. The epoxy itself is extremely thick and does not level nicely at all. It is extremely glossy, which means it shows all imperfections, of which there were many. The coverage of one box MIGHT handle a two car garage if you are extremely stingy with application... but part of my problems with application were that the product did not offer the expected coverage (as many others have noted). The recommended method of application was used, and I used the anti-skid additive, which was yet another mistake. In spite of regular stirring, it was nearly impossible to get a consistent distribution of anti skid material, so many parts of the floor are extremely gritty. The only affordable way I could think of to fix this issue was to scuff the surface of the coating to attempt to make it matte. This will of course defeat some of the purpose of application in the first place, and is probably not recommended by Rust-Oleum... but I am not sure what else to do without completely redoing this project. An experienced user might see success with this product. I am not new to DIY projects, and usually quite capable. I can accept some responsibility for the final result, but, if it is possible to obtain good results with this product, they did not provide instructions to do so. The instructions themselves are also awful for this product. I am in Canada and so the instructions consist of a 1 page leaflet, french on one side, english on the other. The english instructions include head scratchers such as "Apply when air temperature is 10-32C ... DO NOT apply coating if temperatures are expected to drop below 27C for 24-48 hours after application". So, is the minimum application temperature 10, or 27C? The application instructions reference an "application chart", which does not exist. This is the worst renovation experience I have ever had and if you read this review and still purchase this product, I wish you the best, but you are probably making a mistake.
