    It does what it says

Carbon media is a highly efficient method of air filtration. It does not last long because its properties is consumed, however its efficiency totally worth if you want a purified air inside your home. IT DOES NOT REMOVE DUST! IT FILTERS THE AIR! YOUR HOME NEEDS TO BE CLEANED/VACCUMED REGULARLY.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

People giving less than 3 stars for price are cretins. The product works fantastic and you can taste the quality in the air, my sons asthma is easily managed at night with this filter. Of course it won’t last long if the air is bad quality, it’s doing what it’s supposed to do! It’s a FILTER not a VACUUM! Highly recommend.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

The filter doesn't last long, accordingto the Phillips app it uses up 1% per day so it would only last 100 days. Same experience as others in here.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your review with us. I'm sorry to hear the Active Carbon filter hasn't lived up to your expectations. For the optimal use of your appliance, I recommend having a look at the tips, found on our website. I hope that helps, but please know that my colleagues and I are happy to discuss any additional questions with you. You can get in touch via Facebook, Twitter or via the contact page on our website. Alternatively, if you think the full product isn’t performing as expected, you can try our new DIY repair/exchange feature, also available on our website. Kind regards, Maria

    Works Great- read the instructions!

These do what they are meant to. I am blown away by some reviewers mentioning dust on the filters. Please note that these machines are meant to clean the air- not vacuum. We switch the machines off EVERY WEEK and clean the filters. We also vacuum the rooms twice a week. The result? Hardly any dirt or dust on the filters, despite having two, very moulting cats. Please don't buy these to replace your vacuum cleaner. I can honestly say that the filters are well worth paying for if you value your health. You can taste the clean air and my wifes asthma has improved ten fold! The amazing thing is, when the cats use their litter tray, the machines comes alive, whiring into action, cleaning the air. Amazing sensors, Amazing Technology!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Good filter and a tip is to lightly vacuum off the dust that collects on the outer surface (the surface facing outwards and not the surface facing the white hepa filter). Doing this ensures that more air can come into contact with the carbon. Note: the Air Purifier 2000 series can use both the FY2420/20 and FY2420/30 filters. The only difference is the /30 can go into the 3000 series and is generally more expensive or hardly offered at a discount.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Can it be used for Philips 1000 series as well?

    1 Answer
    • A: The 2000 air purifier and the 1000 use different filters. For the 2000 it uses FY2420/40 (CTC Product #043 -5146). The 1000 uses FY1410/40 (CTC Product# #043-5149).
