This unit is simple, works well, and is quiet as implied by its name. I have yet to clean the filters, and these kind of permanent/washable filter units generate ozone, but it should be at nominal levels.

A: While the output of ozone of this product is extremely low, if you have asthma symptoms or breathing disorders that can be triggered by the presence of an ionizer, we recommend that you do not use any type of ionizing or ionic air purifiers. Only HEPA filtration products are recommended.
