Q: I misplaced the one USB cord that comes with the fan. Not to mention it's so short. Tried using a longer USB charge cord and fan wouldn't turn on. Is there something specific I should be using for the USB cord?

A: Yes Shazzy, I tried that on a different item and had the same problem. I would take the fan back to the store and ask for a different fan and two cords. Good Luck!

Q: When batteries are installed and it is also plugged in to a USB slot, will power be drawn from the batteries or the USB slot?

A: The fan will always draw its power from the highest provider. Most USB ports nowadays puts out a little less than 5V while 4 AA batteries can generate 6V, therefore, the fan will draws the power from the batteries rather than the USB port.
