Bought one for the summer, it just died on me out of nowhere 3 months later, not to mention the weird metallic oil smell it had for the first week, I had to leave it on for a whole day and night to get rid of the smell.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: it is reverse thread. Turn it clockwise to remove it. Or better yet, try to read the direction arrow on the front of the dial . lol

A: You can adjust it by tilting the head. That being said it is a poorly put together fan priced cheap because it is built cheaply. Noisy and comes apart easily

A: I can only answer to my own experience but, no there shouldn't be a smell. Exchanging it is a hassle, but, I would if the smell is that bad.

A: I don't find it that noisy myself normal fan noise, I did not put front guard on, to make it easier to clean and move more air.

Q: Why are all the customer review pictures of a totally different product? It doesn't have three buttons in the front and it has an x base not a round one. How is it fair that you're making this cheap one look amazing based on a way more expensive model?

A: I purchased 3 fans. It has 3 bottoms and the base is not round but has legs. Work well for inexpensive fans.
