bought this last year at about this time of year, its been exhausting air out of my smoking room for a year non stop (never switched off - except for a 6 hour power failure and once 1 hr to clean it). still quiet and reliable, good air flow for its size. Fully recommended!

A: no, but its easy to turn it to change air flow (unless permanently fixed). I use it to draw air from inside to the outside (vacuum effect) to help circulate cooler air from a portable AC unit in another room.

A: It will fit vertical, mine came broken in the unopened box, store wouldn't accept refund, because it now was "open box". I know this makes no sense, good luck to you with your search, I'd highly suggest, before leaving the store, you make 100% sure it fits and unbroken, as the return policy is "not the best".
