Good Heater

The heater works well. The lower heat setting, with the dial little over half way can be felt across a fairly large room. Haven't used the higher setting, but I'm sure it would heat even stronger.

Q: Does it have a thermostat/temperature regulation?

  • A: The thermostat says it does not always work if the temperature is too cold . It seems worthless , but is a big selling feature of this unit . My room gets too hot , yet no matter how low I set the thermostat , my unit will not shut off .

Q: Is the fan speed adjustable? For example, does the fan speed depend on either the MIN-MAX switch setting or the Off/Fan/Lo/Hi switch setting? I'm looking for a heater that can be set to be quite quiet by setting the fan speed to low...would this heater fit the bill?

  • A: No, this heater is very loud. The sound is the same no matter what heat setting it's on.

  • A: Check the safety tip over switch at the bottom. It can be quite finicky. Push it up to see if it works. In daily use you might have to set the unit down with a little force to get the safety switch to function properly.

Q: Heater seems to have a very weak fan. Is it normal for this unit not to feel any air movement beyond about 2 feet away?

4 Answers
  • A: Yes, that is the way ours seems to work; the fan draws the heated air away from the ceramic element and natural convection does the rest. In our admittedly small RV we've never even used the high heat setting.

Q: Where is the built in washable dust collection filter that is suppose to effectively collect dust ? Bullet # 7 in the "Features" tab states: Dust collection filter - built-in washable filter effectively collects dust

  • A: You have to unscrew a screw on the back under a little tab but the "dust filter" is quite cheap and doesn't stop much of anything.

Q: how i can set it up for automatic turn off when heat up enough

3 Answers
  • A: This answer if very late but I'll answer it for others that might be wondering the same thing. To set the thermostat for the heater to keep the room at a certain temperature, turn the heater on and run it with the thermostat set to the highest setting. When the room reaches the temperature you would like, slowly dial the thermostat knob back until the fan and heater shuts itself off (the heater will still technically be on, but the fan and heater won't be running). And then just leave it at this setting.. The heater should automatically cycle itself to turn on the heat and fan on each time the room cools, and turn them off each time the room reaches the desired temperature. And you can always adjust the thermostat setting up or down at any time if you decide you want the room to be kept warmer or cooler.

Q: Is this heater loud?

  • A: It is about average noise level for a heater with a fan. It isn't as noisy as some but it isn't all that quiet either. It is just a bit quieter than my microwave. Sounds similar but not as loud...close though.

Q: fan / thermostat does the fan go on and off with the thermostat regulation or stay on and the heating elements only cycle with the thermostat's control?

3 Answers
  • A: The thermostat turns everything off. Heating element and the fan. I was hoping that the fan would stay on so there would be a constant sound regardless of whether it was generating heat or not but it doesn't. As soon as it reaches temperature, everything turns off. In fact, when using the fan only mode, the thermostat will turn off the fan depending on the setting you have it at and the temperature of the room. To ensure that the fan only mode will always keep the fan on, you have to turn the thermostat up all the way.
