The results smoothed over my lazy sanding

Actually seemed to work. I had roughly sanded aluminum and that left many tiny scratches. I tried higher grade sandpaper but still it left micro scratches that would be visible with regular primer or paint. The result was surprisingly smooth as though I spent 3x the amount of sanding. So it’s ok.

Q: I would like to prime and spray paint just the hood of my car...would 1 can of primer and 2 of a paint color do ? I have a Hyundai Sonata. Thank you

A: Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. I'd suggest using 2-3 cans of Primer, 2-3 cans of Paint and 3 cans of Clear. You'll want to use more Clear since you'll need to buff the final coats to increase the sheen to match the OEM painted parts of this vehicle.
