Horrible traction in water and winter

Have had these tires on my 2wd Dakota since purchasing it used in 2013 and they've always had traction issues whether it be fish tailing on wet or snowy roads or getting stuck in 20cm's of snow in a parking lot requiring a tow (with 500 lbs of salt bags in the bed). Anyways I won't have to worry about them anymore as the vehicle is now totaled after losing control on the 401 in <1cm of snow at 90 km/hr. If I had to say anything good about them I suppose they have good longevity considering I used them year round and there was still plenty of tread remaining (over 60% @ 50000 km). However lots of tread doesn't help much of the front end of your vehicle is smashed in. I was glad to read other reviews here and see others complaining of the same issues.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought these tires for my 1990 Ramcharger. In the slightest mud they cake up and turn into slicks. Traction in snow is horrible.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Had these almost 4 years now . Got 90000kms on the set . Will need new this winter but definitely another 20000 left on these tires for summer . No issues , no leaks , no flats . Hoping they go on sale before winter . I will buy again but only sale price .

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good Tire

Bought these for my 4x4 Chev Colorado ,, they were excellent in mud and dry or wet pavement ,but on real cold days they seemed a little hard and would slide on ice or packed snow, tires wore well ( with rotation) and lasted a long time 80000 kms , they are a little noisy on the highway but that can be expected on 4x4

Yes, I recommend this product.

Rubber too soft

Poor in snow, poor in mud, wear uneven if slightly overinflated, not an off road tire, good steering feel but otherwise don't last.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Does this tire have "directional tread", i.e. does it matter, from a performance standpoint, if installed with white letters on inside or outside?

  • A: No it doesn't matter which way they are mounted. They are a horrible tire unless you only drive on dry pavement.
