I didn't notice a difference in the air quality using this device. I used it at a cottage with no air circulation. With wildfire smoke. I ended up returning it as my asthma symptoms did not improve and went with a higher end air purifier that I actually do notice a huge difference.

Q: I have recently purchased the Cuisinart 1000 air purifier. Is this unit meant to stand on the floor or should it be placed on a table. Thanks

A: I have my unit floor mounted. I have only had for a few days and have tried on a table and on the floor. I have observed that by placing on the floor in the middle of the room, the fan on top seems to create a cyclonic air flow that helps direct the particles to the 4 intake sides of the unit.

Q: The labeling of the Cuisinart Air Purifier 1000 is misleading. It states that the floor area is 1000 sqft and CADR is 450, but ENERGY STAR registry shows the square footage is 454 sqft and smoke CADR is 293 CFM. Please explain or correct.

A: Model CAP-1000C is Intertek Certified (cETLus) and meets all regulatory requirements accordingly. Room coverage of up to 1000 Sq Ft is accurately called out on the packaging as is the 450 CADR. For further information, please contact Cuisinart customer service.

Q: How will I know if my uvc light isn't working? Will it give an error or light indicator?

A: Unknown about error message but if you look down through the top on a angle you can faintly see 3 small holes with blue light coming through, and not when you turn off light on the panel. Hope this helps

Q: I have been using this unit for a few weeks now, sitting on the floor in an open area. I have two cats. When I check the washable pre filters there is not one hair or piece of dust to be seen. Really wondering if it does much or just blows the dust around
