Q: Hi, I would like to know if these tires are also ok to use not just for winter season?
a year agoA: Hi Dennis, Winter tires are designed specifically for winter use, and this tire is no exception. They are made with a softer rubber compound to handle severe winter conditions. In contrast, all-season or all-weather tires do not perform as well in extreme winter conditions or on snowy and icy roads, especially when breaking. All all-season or all-weather tires become harder as the temperature drops, these tires are losing traction capabilities. As someone else mentioned, it is not recommended to use winter tires in the summer due to the rubber compound. As strange as it may seem, the softer rubber compound does not perform well in warmer weather or hot surfaces, causing the tires to wear out much faster.

15 days agoA: R16 refers to rim size. R17 would be for a 17 inch wheel as R16 is for a 16 inch wheel.

a year agoA: The UltimateContact Winter does not have the matching size for the Tesla Model Y which for 19" wheels is a 255/45R19 size.

They are designed to cover the weight requirements for all vehicles that have that same size and where applications and vehicle loading may require additional support without influencing the ride and performance of the vehicle under these possible conditions.
