Q: will a 8.40 tire fit on this rim ?

A: Thanks for email Pete, the rim diameter on the 480x8 is an 8" and the size of the wheel is an 8x3.75 either 4 or 5 hole. The width of your tire in question is 8.40 so that is bigger than the wheel. I would start by looking into the full description of your tire as 8.40 is not the complete size. The rim diameter you will require will be the last number on the tire size description and then you can source the wheel from there. But this wheel would not work for the above measurement. Q: I have a snowmobile trailer with 20.5-8-10 sizes tires on it with a 5 bolt pattern , the tires are good but the rims look awful will these rims work with my tires...Thanks

A: This is not the correct wheel. You would need a 10x6x5 on 4.5 trailer wheel. Unfortunately, we do not have such a wheel from Carlisle available online. If you would like to do a special order for this trailer, you could do so at the closest store. Carlisle part# is 1021583266.

Q: where can I find a 10" rim? According to one of the earlier answers the part number is 040-8552-2. All the stores I've checked don't have these in stock. Are they still available?
